Qualifications for an AFMS SSC Medical Officer
The National Medical Commission Act of 2019 requires that the candidate has the necessary medical credentials. Any State Medical Council, MCI, or NMC permanent registration is required for the application. Additionally, those with a postgraduate degree approved by the State Medical Council, MCI, NBE, or NMC may apply.

Pay and benefits for an AFMS SSC medical officer
Doctors who join the military medical services will be given the rank of Captain in the 10B level of the Defense Pay Matrix of BP at the age of 11. NPA at current rates + Transport Allowance Rs. 3600-7200 as per the category of the city, (i.e. X, Y, Z, where the officer is posted) + Dress Allowance Rs. 20,000 (Annually) + Dearness Allowance as per current rate = Rs. 61300 + MSP Rs. 15500 HRA (if applicable) as per category of the city, (i.e. X, Y, Z, where the officer is posted) + NPA at Officers are also entitled to subsidised housing and related facilities, as well as rations or ration allowances in place (depending on where the posting and notification were made). PG diploma Holders who are classified as graded specialists under the training rules that are now in effect are entitled for PG allowance or specialised pay. Officers also have access to 60 days of annual leave and 20 days of unpaid leave each year, as well as to free medical care for themselves and their families, including any parents who are dependent on them, group insurance, and a canteen stores depot (CSD) facility.
